God was moved by Abraham's willingness, but he wasn't asking him to kill his son. God never asks us to put our children in the fire. God always provides the sacrifice himself and he too is the burning fire. His invitation is for us to enter his burning presence, lay down our lives and dreams, and be transformed into beings far more capable of seeing those dreams become reality.
